Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 October 2026
1. Agreement
BondKeeper (bondkeeperau.com) is operated by Rakesh Vijayakumar, ABN 38 244 695 838, based in Sydney NSW. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. What BondKeeper is, and isn't
BondKeeper helps you record the condition of your rental and organise that record. It is not legal advice. We are not affiliated with any tenancy authority, tribunal, agent or landlord. We can't guarantee the outcome of any bond claim or dispute. State deadlines and rules shown in the app are general information; check them with your state's tenancy authority.
3. Who can use it
You must be 18 or over, and a tenant or occupant of the property you record. You must have permission from any flatmate or person who appears in your photos.
4. Your account
Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at support@bondkeeperau.com if you think it has been accessed without permission.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are one-off payments per tenancy, in Australian dollars, as shown when you pay. Prices do not include GST, as we are not registered for GST. Payments are processed by Stripe.
6. Refunds
You have rights under the Australian Consumer Law that these Terms cannot exclude. If BondKeeper doesn't work as described, contact us for a fix or a refund. Change of mind: we'll refund a payment within 7 days if you haven't locked a report for that tenancy.
7. Your content
You own your photos and notes. You give us permission to store, process and display them, and to send them to our service providers, only to run BondKeeper for you. This permission ends when you delete them or your account.
8. Honest use
You must not use BondKeeper to create false or misleading records. This includes staging damage, misdating photos, or passing off imported photos as camera captures. You must not use it to harass or threaten anyone. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
9. AI suggestions
AI tags and descriptions are suggestions and can be wrong. You must review each one before confirming it. You're responsible for the content of your reports, including the declaration you make when locking a report.
10. What timestamps and hashes show
A timestamp records when a photo reached our server. A hash shows whether the file has changed since then. Neither proves who caused any damage. A tribunal decides how much weight to give your record.
11. Keep your own copies
BondKeeper runs on third-party platforms and we can't promise it will always be available. Download your report after locking it, and again at move-out. If we ever close BondKeeper, we'll give at least 30 days' notice where we can, so you can download your records.
12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the outcome of any bond dispute, the amount of any bond deduction, or indirect loss.
13. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, and will tell you why where reasonable.
14. Changes to these Terms
If we make a significant change, we'll email you and ask you to accept the new Terms before you continue.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
